This area of a suburb southeast of Kansas City was previously underserved in terms of very low internet speeds. The construction and implementation of the neighborhood fiber network in this area enabled schools, businesses and individuals to become better connected with the world through faster upload and download speeds, streaming that was previously unavailable and generally much better access to the information available on the internet. Since the completion of this project, opportunities such as online learning and working from home have finally become a reality.
