PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Installed a FTTH network in the outer suburbs of northern Kentucky. Methods of construction include directional drilling, open trenching, fiber placement and pulling, and handhole placement.

SCOPE:

  • Adhere to engineering determined path of route
  • Attain any and all necessary construction permits
  • Directional drilling along designated fiber route
  • Open Trenching along route
  • Conduit placement
  • Fiber pulling into new conduit
  • Handhole placements
  • Backfill and finish/beautification of work area

BENEFIT:

High-speed Internet with speeds up to 1GBps allowing improved quality of life in a number of areas for communities in and around northern Kentucky. This project specifically benefits residents by making aspects of connected life, like real-time online learning and telemedicine, a reality. Additionally, smart city technology can now be employed to help traffic patterns and public safety, as well as improve the overall effectiveness of community services.
