PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Install a FTTH network in the outer suburbs of central Indiana. Methods of construction included directional drilling, open trenching, fiber pulling and handhole placement.

SCOPE:

  • Adhere to engineering determined path of route
  • Attain any and all necessary construction permits
  • Directional drilling along designated fiber route
  • Open trenching along route
  • Conduit placement
  • Fiber pulling into new conduit
  • Handhole placements
  • Backfill and finish/beautification of work area

BENEFIT:

High-speed internet with speeds up to 1GBps allows an improved quality of life in a number of areas for communities in and around central Indiana. This project makes real-time online learning and telemedicine a reality for residents throughout the region.
